		<description>While I agree we were founded on Christian principals, I would argue that we are not so now.  We are not, by any measure. It is the misinterpretation of the constitution, and the mischaracterization of Jeffersons letter, by God haters, that we find ourselves in this big mess.  It is still the Christian communities values that acts as a deterrence to runaway secular humanism, that most evil of all religions.  Well maybe Muslims are in there close.</description>

		<description>Well said. I couldn&#039;t agree with you more. The principles do stand on their own. That is what makes them so special. The fact that our government was initially influenced by Judeo-Christian values does not necessarily mean that Christianity will always be the prevalent religion in our country. If Christianity is eventually passed by some other religion there will be no need to change the principles of our government to accommodate the new religion of the day.</description>
